When times are dark, praise the Lord. Remember the things He has done in Your life and throughout history. Look around—His wonder and beauty abound. In the darkest night, His love shines bright. We cannot thwart his plans. His mercy knows no end, His grace no boundaries. Jesus is here. He has not left us. He sustained you through yesterday, and He will carry you through today. No one is beyond His help; nothing is beyond His power.
Jesus is the only answer to whatever troubles you. Everything else will pass away. Only Jesus will remain. When you can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel, know Jesus is waiting on the other side with His arms wide open. He is also right beside you, carrying your burdens and ministering to your pain. Our Lord is at once everywhere and with us alone. He is our God, and we are His children.
I don’t know where you are in this season of crisis. So many are struggling with different problems. Every day I am reminded of Matthew 6:31-33: “So don’t worry, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ For the idolaters eagerly seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you.” God will provide.
I think also of Proverbs 30:8, which says “… give me neither poverty nor riches, but give me only my daily bread.” I don’t need more than just enough for today, yet God has blessed me with an abundance. I look In my refrigerator, and it is not empty. My cupboards are not bare. My closet is full of clothes. My fears are unfounded. God will provide. He always has, and He always will.
If you grew up in church, the Old Testament stories of God’s provision are so familiar that you may miss the miracles in them. We’ve heard them so many times we are numb to the power of God on display in them. Read again how He brought Joseph from the pit of prison to lead a nation and save an entire people. Look how God delivered Israel repeatedly when they faced insurmountable odds. God used ravens to supply His prophet with food when he was in despair. There are countless stories of God’s provision in the Bible. Read them and let the way God rescues His people encourage you.
God will provide. We can’t always see a way out of our messes, but God does. He will provide at the right moment by means we will never expect. I’ve seen it in my life and the lives of others. My guess is you’ve seen it in your life too. No crisis is bigger than God. No shortage can exhaust His supply. You will be okay. God is here, and you have nothing to fear. No matter what you are lacking, know God will provide. Trust Him to do what He says He will. Don’t worry, your Heavenly Father sees what you need. Seek Him first and only, and God will provide everything you need.
