God has chosen You. He is pursuing You. There is work for which You have been uniquely designed to do. This work will be done if we will only hold fast, keep our eyes on Jesus, and don’t give up. Satan roams around like a roaring lion seeking to destroy you and your dreams (1 Peter 5:8). The devil will do whatever it takes to take you down. Through trials, temptations, anxiety, fear, and discouragement, he will pull out every stop to dissuade you from pursuing Christ and all He has given you to do.
Don’t give up. Don’t give in to the lies of the adversary. Only you can do the work God has created you to do. While your talents and gifts may seem insignificant to you, they are a vital part of God’s plan for building His Kingdom here on earth. So, stay strong and don’t give up.
Satan is a liar, so we shouldn’t be surprised to discover everything he says is a lie. Lying is what liars do. Of course, when we believe anything a liar says, it is we who must take the blame. We know what the devil is and what he’s up to; it’s not a secret. Knowing liars lie, why is it we continue to fall for anything the devil says? We can’t afford to be distracted. We can’t let him play with our minds or distract us with false pleasures. We’ve got work to do and it won’t get done f we spend our days chasing after the shiny objects and luxurious comforts Satan is dangling before us. Remember, the devil is a liar and everything he offers is a lie.
The older I get, the more I realize the urgency of how we spend our days. Time is running out. There will not always be a tomorrow here on earth. Our breaths are running out even as I speak. Time is short, shorter than any of us recognize or imagine. We don’t have time for discouragement. We don’t have time for despair. We’ve got to keep moving and doing the work God has given us to do. Don’t give up. Don’t think you can afford to rest for a while and watch the world pass by. There is no time and there is too much at stake.
I know life can be tough. It’s not God’s fault. He designed this world to be free from pain and sin. We bought into the lies of Satan thousands of years ago and we continue to do so today. The difficulties are our fault, brought on by sin and designed by the devil himself. Don’t compound the problem by giving in to the schemes of Satan or blaming God for anything that’s gone wrong. We have work to do, God-given and God-designed work. There is a world outside our doorway desperate for love and hope. Thousands of people are dying every day without the saving knowledge of Christ. This is a tragedy of epic proportions and one for which we can not sit idly by. Jesus said to go into all nations teaching and sharing His gospel (Matthew 28:18-20). We’re not done yet. We’ve got work to do. Don’t get distracted and don’t give up.
